Rycenga Lumber: Building Community and Supporting Projects for Over 80 Years

Since 1942, Rycenga Lumber has been a proud part of the lakeshore community in Grand Haven, Michigan. Founded by brothers Louis and Chuck Rycenga, this locally owned and family-operated business has grown to become a cornerstone of Western Michigan. Today, Louis' son, John Rycenga, continues the family tradition as the company’s President.

Rycenga Lumber serves not only Grand Haven but also the entire network of Western Michigan lakeshore communities and surrounding areas. From custom builders and commercial contractors to remodelers and homeowners, we work with our customers from start to finish, offering full-service support to ensure the success of every project. Whether you're tackling a major construction project or a simple DIY task, we provide everything you need—from basic hardware and supplies to expert guidance.

For more than eight decades, Rycenga has been deeply committed to giving back. We proudly support local nonprofit programs, schools, sports teams, businesses, and community events. At Rycenga Lumber, we believe that thriving local businesses and strong communities go hand in hand. Together, we’re building a brighter future for the lakeshore community and beyond.
